More People are Consciously Choosing Better Hospitals
As the saying goes, “failing to prepare is preparing to fail.” Proving this to be true, a study by health economists at Harvard, M.I.T., Columbia, and the University of Chicago showed that recent improvement in heart attack survival rates is due not only to breakthroughs in technology, but also to patients selecting better hospitals. As detailed by the New York Times, there are several resources that enhance our ability to choose our hospitals. While it is up to hospitals and doctors to ensure we get proper treatment, it is prudent for individuals to find the best hospitals and doctors – and to do so before emergency care is needed. Please take some time to research the hospitals closest to you and find which are the best and which should be avoided. Doing so could save your life.
