Baltimore Woman Sues Over Exploding Toilet
A Baltimore woman is suing the Baltimore mayor, city council and two contractors for their negligent repair of a sewer system, which led to her toilet exploding. The Plaintiff, Angela Wright was blown off the toilet “with great force and violence” according to the lawsuit. Beyond the mental anguish that comes with being thrown off a toilet by a thrust of sewage, Ms. Wright suffered serious head injuries as well as damage to her home. According to the lawsuit, there is nearly $14,000 in property damage.
While this may seem like Ms. Wright just had a “crappy” day, it is important to know that people and entities can be held accountable for their negligent work that harms others. No one should ever bring a lawsuit for false claims, or exaggerate their injuries to create a strong case. But, someone who, due to the negligence of others, suffers true harm to themselves or their property, has avenues available for just and legal compensation. If you have suffered harm due to the negligence of others and you believe you may have a legal right to fair and just compensation, please feel free to contact Plattner Verderame, PC.
