Exploding e-cigarettes
Warning about e-cigarettes exploding: The explosions generally result when the e-cigs get overcharged. The quality (more expensive) model chargers are digital and incorporate automatic kill switches to avoid overcharging. Conversely the cheaper models will just keep charging the battery; their solution is to supply very detailed directions, e.g. never charge for more than 2 hours and/or remove e-cigarette from charger for at least 30 minutes before use. Most people just plug it in and unplug it when they are ready to use it. Since you can carry them around in your pocket, the battery randomly heats up and explodes, frequently catching people’s clothes on fire. Then there’s the problem of aftermarket chargers which have no directions whatsoever.
So, the best solution is still not too develop a nicotine addiction, or if you are already the proud owner of one, start breaking it now. If you must use e-cigs, spend the money for a quality digital charger.
