Nick Verderame Named Partner

Nick Verderame Named Partner We are excited to announce that Nick Verderame is now a partner at Plattner Verderame Arizona Injury Lawyers! Nick’s unwavering dedication to the law and client-focused approach have made him a wonderful asset to the firm and a powerful advocate for injury victims.

A skilled communicator: From journalism to the courtroom

During his early career, Nick worked in broadcast journalism, where he held roles with CBS Network News and ESPN. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona in 2013. That background in journalism laid the ground for Nick to serve as a skilled communicator who thinks on his feet in the courtroom. After earning his JD, he worked for two of the nation’s largest law firms, where he gained insights into high-stakes litigation before joining Plattner Verderame in 2016.

Nick found his calling as an advocate for injured individuals and families who lost a loved one. Today, he represents clients in product liability, catastrophic injury, personal injury, and wrongful death cases. His work has earned him several prestigious awards, including Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch, 2021-2023, Wiedemann & Wysocki Award, American Association for Justice, American Society of Legal Advocates 40 Under 40, National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 Under 40, Super Lawyers 2024, and Forbes Advisor’s “Best Car Accident Lawyers Mesa, AZ,” 2023.

Leadership in the legal community

Nick’s influence extends beyond the courtroom. He is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Arizona Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Nick holds several leadership roles within these organizations, including:

  • Board of Governors and Organizational Review Committee (American Association for Justice)
  • Political Action Committee Board of Trustees (American Association for Justice)
  • Executive Committee Treasurer (Arizona Association for Justice)
  • Learn at Lunch Committee Chair (Arizona Association for Justice)
  • Legislative Committee member (Arizona Association for Justice)

Not only is Nick a fierce advocate for his clients, but he is committed to shaping policy and advocating for civil justice reform. We’re looking forward to Nick serving in more of a leadership role in our firm, as he is already doing within the Arizona legal community.

Active in the community

When Nick is not working, he likes to spend time giving back to his community. Throughout his career, he’s served on multiple Boards and, perhaps more fun, coached his kids’ many teams. His activities have included:

  • Coaching for i9 Sports, RAMMS (baseball and basketball), and Madison Futbol Club.
  • Commissioner of RAMMS Softball Leagues
  • Member of the Phoenix 20-30 Club
  • Board of Directors for the Phoenix Salvation Army
  • Member of the University of Arizona Law College Association Board and Executive Committee

Congratulations to Nick

As a partner at Plattner Verderame, Nick will bring his extensive legal experience, his passion for justice, and his skills as a natural leader to our team and our clients. We are proud of everything he has achieved so far and look forward to seeing what this next chapter holds. All of us at Plattner Verderame want to congratulate Nick on this wonderful and well-deserved achievement!
